Eva Adams
Eva completed her study of art at Moscow University in 1987 and her contribution to the artistic scene in Russia was recognised by her entry into the prestigious Moscow Artists Union. She continues to incorporate and interpret the traditions of Old Russian art in her own distinct style and access to the peculiarity of Moscow culture gives her an unusual perception of the world. For the last 20 years Eva Adams has worked in leafy Oxfordshire creating magnificent, colourful pictures, full of life and light. Her passion for art has been prominent since childhood, yet each day she finds something new. Her most recent series of Water lilies focus on the light and the deep contrast of colours in the world of gardens. These also represent her characteristic contrast of light and shadow, using colours and subjects to accentuate the viewer’s empathy with the picture – and inviting the eye to delve deeper into Eva’s world.
