Patrick Cornee born in Toulouse 1967, now living in a small hilltop village in south of France. Patrick’s paintings are associated with surrealism; the magical effect that emanates from a picture is thus emphasised. Cornee takes us into the realm of the fantastic, through figures and colours. Thus he particularly accentuates the erotic aspects of the picture. He emphasises this impact by using a mystical form of over painting and colouring. Fractures in the layers of colour suggest glimpses and betray fragments of the mysterious inner life of his pictures.
