Italy Both his parents were artists and he qualified at the Venetian Academy of Fine Art in 1982. In his early years he studied in the studio of Pietro Annigoni (1910-1988) who painted a memorable portrait of HRH Queen Elizabeth II in 1969. Longo has worked with many of the main Italian publishing houses creating artwork for book covers. His work is principally portraiture, uniting traditional styles with contemporary composition and angles. In all his work he adheres to the Venetian Realism tradition - the 'Verismo Veneto.'
